How the hiring index is scored

Each plsintro hiring index ranks companies hiring for one AI engineering role, or in one location. The indexes are independent, and no company pays to appear or to rank. Every number comes from a company's own public job board.

Where the data comes from

We read open roles from each company's own job board on Ashby, Greenhouse and Lever, the same source the plsintro app uses. A background job checks the boards every day and records the date of each check. A role index counts the open roles whose title matches that role; a location index counts the roles whose city or remote flag matches that place. We do not add roles by hand, and we do not invent counts, scores or pay figures.

The score

Each company's score on an index is:

Score = matching open roles on the company's own job board + a freshness bonus.

The freshness bonus rewards a board we checked recently:

  • +2 if we checked the board in the last 7 days
  • +1 if we checked it in the last 30 days
  • +0 if it is older than 30 days, or the source has no date

Companies are ranked by score, highest first. Ties break by the number of open roles, then by the most recently checked board, then by company name. A company with no matching open role is left off that index.

The source date

Every row shows the date we last read that company's job board. If a source has no date, the row says so instead of showing a date we cannot stand behind.

Get listed, or claim your company

A company appears on an index as soon as it lists a matching open role on its own job board. Each company links to its plsintro profile, which the company can claim to keep it current and set a referral bonus. A company wrong or missing? Write to hello@plsintro.com.
